studogram

For parents

Social media you can say yes to.

Studogram is like YouTube and Instagram — but every reel, video and post must be worth a young person’s time, and it comes with study tools built in. We designed it from day one for children and teens and for India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Parent approval

Your child’s account stays locked until you approve it.

Approvals happen on your phone, verified with an OTP. You can withdraw consent and ask us to delete the account any time.

How consent works

Four steps, about a minute.

  1. 1

    Your child signs up

They enter their date of birth. If they’re under 18, their account stays locked until you approve it.

  2. 2

    You get a link

Your child shares an approval link with you (WhatsApp or SMS). It works for 7 days.

  3. 3

    You verify with OTP

You confirm your own phone number with a one-time code — so we know it’s really you.

  4. 4

    You decide

Approve or decline. Approving unlocks the account; you can withdraw consent any time.

Protections

What we do to keep young people safe

  • Control over who can reach them

Adults can’t comment on or answer a minor’s posts unless they’re teachers verified by our team. In messages, anyone they don’t follow can only send a request, which they can ignore, decline or block. Phone numbers, emails, links and other apps can’t be shared in chats, chats between adults and under-18s block requests for photos, addresses or meetings, and messages can be turned off in Settings.

  • Content is checked before it’s public

Every reel, doubt and comment is screened by AI for safety and value — no lip-sync trends, vulgarity or brain rot. Our moderators review anything flagged, and new creators’ first reels are checked by a person.

  • No ads, no ad tracking

We never show ads to anyone under 18 and never build advertising profiles of children. We don’t sell anyone’s data.

  • Age-appropriate by default

Young users only see content made for their age group. A 12-year-old won’t see college content, and young children are never shown in people search.

  • Report and block in one tap

Any post, comment or person can be reported. Blocking someone hides them both ways and removes follows. Reports are reviewed by our team.

  • Healthy study habits

Only content worth their time — knowledge, skills, sports, art and fun with a point — plus a study planner, notes and revision tools.

Your rights as a parent

Under the DPDP Act you can, on behalf of your child:

  • See what personal data we hold about your child
  • Correct anything that’s wrong
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Ask us to delete the account and its data
  • Raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer
